LAST MINUTE: Mutharika Rebuffs Mulhako Wa Alhomwe

Things Fall Apart as Mulhako Wa Alhomwe patron Professor Peter Mutharika is reported to have turned the invitation to grace the much publicized Mulhako wa Alhomwe annual festival slated for this week-end.

The festival has been slated to take place at Mulhako Wa Alhomwe headquarters at Chonde in Mulanje district.

Recently, Mulhako Wa Alomwe Chairperson Leston Mulli told the media that former head of state Professor Mutharika confirmed to attend the ceremony.

But this publication has established that Professor Mutharika, who has not been seen on public since he miserably lost the fresh presidential elections, has turned down the invitation on undisclosed reasons.

Meanwhile, Mulhako wa Alomwe officials and Lhomwe chiefs are in closed door meeting figuring on the next step, as to whom to approach as the guest of honour.
